Lately, i've been making giz potato alot so i thought I'd share this variation which is very similar to If you intend making stewed gizpotato, rinse the tomato and scotch bonnet pepper. Blend till smooth in a blender. Pour the blend into an empty pot. Saute the gizzards with a fragrant curry or stew them with onion and hot sauce.
Instructions to make Gizzards and potato stew:
- Dice onion, medley of bell peppers and the tomato.

- Fry onions, garlic and peppers in 20ml canola oil until they become translucent.
- Add the spices to the onion mix and stir for about a minute.
- Add diced tomatoes and spinach and stir - let it simmer for three minutes while you mix the Durban curry as per instructions on the package. Pour mixture into the pot and stir.
- Add tenderly cooked gizzards and potatoes - and stir into the mixture. Let it simmer for 10minutes or until the potatoes are cooked and flavored to your liking.
- Season with black pepper and let it simmer for 2 more minutes and serve with rice.
